Five Awesomest People Ever

So, if you guessed my mom… well congratulations. Who doesn’t love, respect and find their mother inspiring? (LOVE YOU MOM, sorry had to say that since im sure shes the only one reading this. You fawks don’t leave comments). That being said this list isnt about her and the automatics in life, its about the things about me you dont know. Hopefully I didn’t surprise you so much but rather at the end of this you think to yourself “That makes perfect fawkin sense”.

Lew Ashby - Season Two Californication

There is no life without love, none worth having anyways… Lou taught me not to wait till the end of mine to learn that, even though he did. It was the way he lived, a life truly an experiment of bad mixed with horrible decisions. The important thing was that he continued to live and to learn… As much as i learned how to live from Lew, I learned how not to live. My favorite memory will forever be when he he said “Repeat after me” and simply held the middle finger up. I sir, will keep you in my heart for awhile. After all he agrees with me, the STONES are better than the beatles.

Crash Davis - Kevin Costner in Bull Durham

Where to start with this wonder of my perfect fictitious world?  Crash taught me how to be humble far before I ever knew I might have had a reason to. I remember when he said “247 homeruns in the minor leagues is kinda a dubious honor”. Its the same thing when it comes to losing weight, being famous for being the biggest dude ever on a weight loss show? That being said my admiration of Crash extends far beyond his humility, its more about what he believes in… Find something to believe in, something to stand for, and once you have this conviction never lose it no matter what it is. Thats called passion…

“Well, I believe in the soul, the cock, the pussy, the small of a woman’s back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.”

 Thomas Jefferson

Rarely do you find such wisdom, and such reverence in the words of a man. He is the standard that we as americans should hold every politician, past present and future to… and if we were to do so this country would be in a far better position. The only way to truly do justice to a man such as this is to leave you with a few of his words. If only one day I could harness the power within words with a might such as his…

All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.
He who knows nothing is closer to the truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.
Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.
Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom.
I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.
I do not take a single newspaper, nor read one a month, and I feel myself infinitely the happier for it.
I never considered a difference of opinion in politics, in religion, in philosophy, as cause for withdrawing from a friend.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
It is in our lives and not our words that our religion must be read.
No government ought to be without censors; and where the press is free no one ever will.

Albert Einstein - Yes I have him tattooed on my forearm along with Stewie Griffin and The Brain.

This guy had a huge brain, it was physically larger than normal and actually being studied, and he is what I have always aspired toward. This above average capacity didnt hinder him from experiencing the world and what it had to offer. If anything it allowed him to experience it and understand it at a higher level. What this man could do with pure research or what he could accomplish with only a few words offered insight that we are still yet to fully comprehend. It wasnt just his prowess in the understanding of science but in the understanding of man. I look toward him more as a philosopher than anything else…

A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.
Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves.
Anyone who doesn’t take truth seriously in small matters cannot be trusted in large ones either.
Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.
I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.
If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed.
Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.
Sometimes one pays most for the things one gets for nothing.

 Leonardo Da Vinci

My favorite polymath… Why be great at anything, when you can be great at everything. I would never say I have modeled my life after anyone nor do i believe anyone should. I do believe in being diverse and am a procrastinator of sorts. I mean I get stuff done, but its usually last minute… This isnt a trait of being lazy, its simply a product of having so many damn things that you want to do. He is widely accepted as the most diversely skilled man to have ever graced the earth and I personally believe to be the greatest rennascience man ever. I myself write, draw, paint, code software, am an athelete, and just believe in doing what I want to do. There is nothing I put my mind to in whatever field that I do not believe I cant accomplish.

Crash Davis had quite a statue at his grave site. Wearing a kilt, swinging a golf club and hanging loose and low.
